Every time you need to know the size of a folder, we still have to select it then right click, select "Properties." This article will guide you to use a dynamic link library, which allows you to add the "Folder Size" in the Windows Explorer, Folder size display as illustrated below.
Here are the steps:
- First, you go to the address http://www.mediafire.com/?xapjjtjr5qx to download the dynamic link library is a file named "DirSize.dll."
- To file in a folder, such as in the WINDOWS sytem32.
- Click the Start button> Run ... Then type the command: regsvr32 / path to DirSize.dll>. For example: regsvr32 C: \ WINDOWS \ system32 \ DirSize.dll. Click "OK", a message appears click "OK" next.
- Now you go to the Details View mode (in Windows Explorer window icon click View> Details, or right click, choose View> Details). You will see the properties of the folder and file details are arranged by columns, scroll to any one column, right click and select "Folder Size" from the list
